Comment Policy
I believe in setting people up for success. To maintain a respectful and valuable dialogue, I am sharing my comment policy. By providing guidelines and being transparent in my stance, I hope to ward off any potential issues or hard feelings.
Comments are welcomed and encouraged, but there are some instances where comments will be edited or deleted. I ask that postings:
- Stay focused. All comments are welcome, but comments should remain relevant and on topic.
- Are respectful. No flaming, badgering, or trolling. Never post comments which are: knowingly offensive, personal attacks, aggressive, abusive, and hateful or mean towards anyone.
- Be a learning experience. Most people are open to other viewpoints and constructive criticism when done respectfully in an appropriate and sensitive manner.
- Bring value to the conversation. Links to relevant content are encouraged. It becomes spammy when links are: advertisements, referrals, lewd or offensive content, and un-related services or products.
- Are rated PG. No excessive swearing or language. And turn off your caps lock – if you use ALL CAPS in your posts, it’s just as bad.
There is a fine line in moderating comments, and I hope it’s not required often. This site has spam filters and rules in place which automatically catch the majority of automated or perceived spam as well as comments that include too many links. I reserve the right to edit or delete any comments submitted to this blog without notice. If you feel your comment was incorrectly deleted or edited, please contact me directly through private message.
This comment policy is subject to change at any time.
